Ideological movement

Jamaat-e-Islami is a movement of religious establishment. It was founded by the Islamic thinker Syed Abul Ali Maududi on August 26, 1941 in Lahore. The caravan that started with 73 people and little capital is in the millions today. Its effects are felt not only in Pakistan but all over the world. Islamic movements in different countries of the world have benefited from Syed Maududi's thought.

In order to adopt Islam as a complete code of life, Jamaat-e-Islami presents the true image of Islam to the people so that the importance of following Islamic teachings in all aspects of life can be made clear to them. Jamaat-e-Islami continuously strives to prepare responsible and talented individuals who are not only responsible citizens, but also competent and competent to implement the just system of Islam given to Muslims by Allah and His Messenger ﷺ. , and I believe in the promotion of democratic political system in the country, fair economic system, protection of human rights and provision of facilities to Pakistani citizens regardless of religion, creed, language and region.

The services of Jamaat-e-Islami regarding the struggle of the Islamic system in Pakistan, the approval of the Objectives Resolution, the movement of Khatm Nabuh, the preparation and approval of the Constitution of Pakistan, the unity of the Ummah and the service of the people, are prominent, which is acknowledged by all. The role of Jamaat-e-Islami has been prominent in the struggle to protect the geographical borders, promote Islamic values and implement the Islamic system of life and make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state.

Global influences

The Islamic thinker Syed Abul Ali Maududi gave the theory of Iqamah Deen and Islam as a complete code of life. He imposed the dominant religion and the Islamic system which he presented in the form of literature and practical struggle, it influenced not only the Muslims of the Indian sub-continent, Bangladesh, Kashmir and Sri Lanka and changed the course of their lives. Rather, this thought had universal implications. From Turkey to Egypt, from Asia to Africa and from the Arab world to the West, there is no corner of the world where the effects of this thought have not reached. Islamic movements and Muslims around the world used this idea and thought. This not only changed the lives of millions of people, but also the struggle for the implementation of the Islamic system, the effects of which are being seen in various countries today. Jamaat-e-Islami is a supporter of fraternal relations among Muslims at the global level, wants their strength and growth, while seeking to establish relations with all countries of the world on the basis of mutual respect, equality and justice.

Democratic values

Jamaat-e-Islami believes in revolutionary Imamate using constitutional and democratic means, for this there is an ideal democracy and council system within the Jamaat, in which the central Amir to the Union Council Amir goes through the election process, and the members The Jamaat uses its free opinion to elect the Ameer at every level. In this context, Jamaat-e-Islami has the honor of being the only democratic party in the country.

In Jamaat-e-Islami, the term of the Central Amir is five years, that of the Provincial Amir is three years and that of the District Amir is two years. Along with this, the members of the Jamaat elect the councilors of the central and provincial and district and tehsil councils through their votes. With the advice of Shuri, the policy of the Jamaat is formulated and the system is run. While selecting the Ameer and Shuri members, competence, ability, efficiency, trustworthiness and organizational commitment and ability to run the affairs of the Jamaat are taken into consideration. Affiliation with an influential family, even a wealthy one, is not a criterion or requirement for any position or responsibility.

Non-hereditary leadership

The distinction of Jamaat-e-Islami is that it does not have the monopoly of any family, individuals or any group. It is based on Shuraism, democratically electing all levels of leadership and councils, and running the system through consultation. Here one is not offered a position because of being a member of the family of a certain level of emir, rather the members choose their leadership of their own free will, taking into account piety, piety, competence and ability.

The founder of Jamaat-e-Islami, Amir Syed Abul Ali Maududi, held the responsibility of the emirate from 1941 to 1972. Mian Tufail Muhammad was the Amir till 1987, Qazi Hussain Ahmad till 2009, Syed Manwar Hasan till 2014. The five princes are not related at any level, familial, linguistic or regional. Syed Abul Ali Maududi belonged to Hyderabad Deccan, he spoke Urdu language. Mian Tufail Muhammad was from Kapurthala and mother tongue was Punjabi. Qazi Hussain Ahmad belonged to Nowshera, Pashto was his mother tongue. Syed Manwar Hasan was born in Delhi, was an Urdu speaker, while the present Ameer Sirajul Haque is of late descent, and Pashto is his mother tongue.

The distinction of Jamaat-e-Islami is that anyone can hold any responsibility in it based on their ability and commitment to the organization.

Corruption Free

Jamaat-e-Islami has the distinction that all their friends trust it and entrust their trusts to the Jamaat. While Jamaat-e-Islami believes in character building, there is also a system of accountability within it, which comes into action automatically, and performs the duty of reforming the situation in case of any malfunction. This is the reason that wherever trusts are handed over to the relatives of the Jamaat both inside and outside the Jamaat, they set an example of trust and honesty. More than a thousand affiliates of Jamaat-e-Islami have served in the Senate, National and Provincial Assemblies and local bodies. Not only has his performance in the provincial ministries and district administrations been exemplary, but he has set a standard in the custodian of the nation's trusts and their correct use, which his opponents also give example and testimony. However, no opponent could accuse him of corruption. Alhamdulillah, Jamaat-e-Islami affiliates have always stayed away from politics of corruption and looting. His name does not appear in any Panama or Dubai leaks, nor does his name appear in any list of plot takers and loan waivers.

Democratic Pakistan

Parliament will be made supreme for the protection of Islam, constitution, democracy and civil government.
A "Training Academy" will be established for Capacity Building of Parliamentarians/Legislators.
Parliament will give final approval to all international agreements (including strategic, commercial and educational etc.).
The Election Commission of Pakistan will be given administrative, financial and judicial autonomy.
Efforts will be made to create harmony among national political parties to adopt proportional representation election method.An independent, impartial and independent commission will be constituted to examine the competence, integrity and reputation of the members of the National Assembly, Senate and Provincial Assemblies, which will ensure the implementation of Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution.
The National Finance Commission will review the formula for allocation of resources to the federation and provinces.
A new chapter and schedule will be included in the constitution with the cooperation of political parties to protect local government elections and local governments.
Financial powers will be transferred to local governments through national and provincial finance commissions to give financial and administrative autonomy to local bodies.

The media will be encouraged to be the bearer of Islamic civilization and culture.

Strong economy and governance

An "economy charter" will be prepared in consultation with political parties, economists and all stakeholders.
Usury economy and usurious banking will be abolished.
By eliminating the illegal profit-seeking mafias and cartels, stability will be brought in the prices of food and beverages and essential commodities.
A fair formula of direct and indirect taxes will be made.
General sales tax will be reduced from 5%.
Bank fees on remittances from home and abroad will be reduced.
The World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and a comprehensive strategy for relief from internal and external debt will be developed.
By revising the State Bank of Pakistan Act, the "Governor Bank of Pakistan" will be made accountable to the Parliament and the Government.
Agricultural tax will be implemented gradually while e-water and e-finance schemes will be implemented.
Non-developmental expenses will be reduced by 30%. In government institutions, extravagance will be eliminated and the approach of simplicity and contentment will be adopted.
Instead of selling off national institutions, competent management will be appointed to make them profitable institutions.
Present and former Presidents, Prime Ministers, Chief Ministers, Federal and Provincial Ministers, Speakers of the National and Provincial Assemblies, Senate Chairman, Federal and Provincial Ministers, Chief Justice, serving judges of the Supreme Court and High Court, senior civil and military officers. Expensive luxury government vehicles and the facility of free petrol will be abolished.
200 billion rupees will be saved annually by eliminating income tax exemptions for capitalists, landlords and the richest elite.
According to the constitution, an effective accountability system will be established for impartial and free accountability.
An "Accountability System" will be created to eradicate all forms of corruption including bribery, commission and kickbacks.
The head of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and FIA will be appointed who has proven ability, competence and trustworthiness.

Education of data science and artificial intelligence will be encouraged.

The provinces will have the first right over the natural resources of the provinces.
Unnecessary check posts will be eliminated across the country.
"Rights to Gwadar" written agreement between the movement and the government of Balochistan will be implemented.
Negotiations will be held with the angry Baloch tribes and they will be respected by including them in the national stream.
The share of terrorism-affected Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be increased in the National Finance Commission Award.
The merged districts of erstwhile FATA will be brought at par with the developed districts through the "Special Development Package".

A prosperous and secure woman

Women will be given compulsory free education up to matriculation and women will be provided with equal opportunities to pursue higher education.
According to Islamic Sharia, immediate and practical steps will be taken to give women the rights of inheritance and ownership of the property of father and husband.
Non-Islamic social customs, illegal dowry, marriage with Quran, Wini, Vita Sita, Surah, business and killing in the name of honor will be banned.
Separate desks for women will be established in all public service institutions.
Candidates who do not inherit from mothers and sisters will be barred from contesting elections and traveling abroad.
