Translation: Then just remember the covenant, which We took from you by lifting the Toor over you, We insisted that you strictly obey the instructions that We are giving you and listen to your predecessors. He said, "We have heard, but we will not believe, and such was the state of their false worship that only the calf was settled in their hearts. Say: If you are a believer, then it is a strange faith that commands you to do such evil actions." gives (93)
وَاِذۡ اَخَذۡنَا مِيۡثَاقَكُمۡ وَرَفَعۡنَا فَوۡقَکُمُ الطُّوۡرَ ؕ خُذُوۡا مَآ اٰتَيۡنٰکُمۡ بِقُوَّةٍ وَّاسۡمَعُوۡا ؕ قَالُوۡا سَمِعۡنَا وَعَصَيۡنَا وَاُشۡرِبُوۡا فِىۡ قُلُوۡبِهِمُ الۡعِجۡلَ بِکُفۡرِهِمۡ ؕ قُلۡ بِئۡسَمَا يَاۡمُرُکُمۡ بِهٖۤ اِيۡمَانُكُمۡ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَ ﴿۹۳﴾
Translation: Yes, Allah is not ashamed to give parables of a mosquito or something worse than that. It has come from Him, and those who do not believe listen to them and say, "What does Allah have to do with such parables?" In this way, Allah causes many to go astray with a single word, and guides many to the right path, and it is He who causes to go astray those who are transgressors.
