Doctor Nazeer shaheed

Dr. Nazir Ahmed Shaheed was born on 12 February 1922 in Anokharwal of Jalandhar district and died on 8 June 1972 in Dera Ghazi Khan. He received his primary education from Anglo Middle School Phirala and then from Government High School Rajanpur. Went to Emerson College Multan for further education. While studying in the college, he established an organization called "Jamaat-e-Islami" on his own to build the character of his fellow students. In 1945, he left the FA education incomplete and entered the Central Homeopathic College, Lahore. In those days, he was introduced to Maulana Maududi's invitation and devoted all his abilities to Jamaat-e-Islami. Served in relief camps of Bihar province in 1946. Later, under the direction of Syed Maududi, he made Dera Ghazi Khan the center of dawa and tabligh and started homeopathic practice for livelihood. He was elected member of National Assembly after defeating a strong group of landlords and chiefs in 1970. He was arrested thirteen times from 1962 to 1970. He was shot and martyred during the government of the People's Party. At various times, he was the local and district Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, a member of the Central Majlis Shura and Majlis Amaila and the Deputy Amir of Punjab province. The deceased also used to recite poetry. Dr. Nazeed Shaheed's collection of schools "Lib Zindaan" has been published.
