The organization of Jamaat-e-Islami is based on the Sharia principles of Islam. Although these principles are permanent, the institutions and organizational structures formed under them keep changing according to the circumstances. Therefore, the Constitution of Jamaat-e-Islami has also been changing, amending and adding along with the expansion of the Jamaat. In this way, the brief history of the evolutionary stages that the Constitution of the Jamaat has gone through can be seen in Appendix No. 5 at the end of this constitution. Also, definitions and explanations related to certain provisions of the Constitution have also been recorded in Appendix No. 4, so that there is no difficulty in determining the meaning of these provisions in the future.
